Fried chicken sandwiches are probably my second favorite thing to eat (after butter chicken). For me, it is about the batter that the chicken is fried in that makes the whole sandwich. Also some places will make a great fried chicken sandwich, but won't appropriately salt the chicken so it tastes bland. My experience at Lucky Buns in DC is for the most part consistent. Their Hot Tiger Bun (shown below) is very well spiced and and the bun is a little toasted so it doesn't completely fall apart when you are eating it. This is definitely a picture that brings back some good food memories!
